The Combined Defence Services (CDS) examination is a highly competitive and prestigious exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India. The CDS exam aims to select eligible candidates for admission into the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA).
The CDS exam consists of a written test followed by an interview conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB). The written test includes subjects such as English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics. The interview process assesses the candidate’s personality, aptitude, leadership qualities, and physical fitness.
Successful candidates undergo rigorous training at their respective academies to become officers in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force. The CDS exam provides a gateway for individuals who aspire to serve the nation and embark on a challenging and rewarding career in the defense services.
